The Story Behind Holland Bakery

Karike here, recent owner of Holland Bakery. The haven of freshly baked traditional Dutch sweet and savoury goodness. Holland Bakery has been part of the Bellville community since the ’70s. Yip, even your grandparents have been loving our baked goods.
We believe in only baking with the authentic and most desired ingredients for the freshest taste, while delivering it to our customers at a fair price.
As I was studying Marketing at Stellenbosch University, procrastibaking was my favourite pastime. After I graduated, I went to The Warwick Chef school in Hermanus to pursue my passion, thereafter working as Product Developer and Brand Growth Manager at Goats Milk Dairy Farm in the Karoo and finally, in 2017 my brainchild Catergold was born. Prestige catering for corporate, private and special events. Even though I love being a caterer, I could not deny my Dutch heritage. I always dreamt of serving the wide range of traditional baked goodness from the Netherlands to my customers in Cape Town. When the opportunity of owning Holland Bakery arose, it was a childhood dream come true.
Launching Holland Bakery’s E-Commerce website was our first step in introducing our products to the online world and, together with our lifestyle products, making it easier for you to enjoy it at home. Baking is love made edible and I would love to share our baked goodness with you.
